Description | VA Tech Wabag Ltd (WABAG) has secured a Rs 380 crore contract from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) to design, engineer, construct, and commission advanced wastewater treatment plants with tertiary treatment capabilities at four sites in Bommanahalli, Bengaluru. The project includes biogas generation units, solar sludge drying beds, intermediate pumping stations, and associated infrastructure. WABAG will operate and maintain the facilities for 10 years after construction, which is expected to be completed in 30 months. The treated water will be reused by industries to reduce freshwater use and enhance water security, with biogas generated from sludge digestion to power operations. |
