Bengaluru Second Airport Project

planned

Plans for Bengaluru's proposed second airport are progressing, with government agencies favoring the Kanakapura Road region in South Bengaluru. The project involves selecting a site among three shortlisted locations, including two adjacent sites along Kanakapura Road (Chudahalli and Somanahalli) and a location near Nelamangala. The government has appointed Meinhardt EPCM to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study covering technical feasibility, traffic demand, passenger forecasting, and other critical aspects. The project aims to support future passenger growth and regional development, with the final site selection pending the feasibility report and government decision.
