Description | The Bengaluru Twin Tunnel Road Project is a 16.75 km twin-tunnel corridor connecting Esteem Mall Junction at Hebbal in North Bengaluru with Central Silk Board Junction in the south. The project aims to ease city traffic by providing a signal-free travel route and is estimated to cost ₹18,000 crore. It will be built under the Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model with a 34-year concession period, including a construction phase of 50 months. The project is divided into two packages, each approximately 8.748 km long, featuring two tunnels with three lanes each and dedicated entry and exit ramps. The project is expected to become operational by late 2029, with ground-breaking scheduled for February 2026. |
