Description | The Bengbu Xinao Gas Company Limited was established in October 2001. Partners in the joint venture are Xinao Gas Holdings (70%) and Bengbu City Construction Investment Limited (30%). Total investment amounts to RMB 330m (roughly US$ 39.9m where US$1=RMB 8.28). Seventy percent (or US$28m) of this will be contributed in cash by Southeast China Investment Limited, a wholly obtained subsidiary of Xinao Gas Holdings. The remaining 30% will be contributed by Bengbu Construction in the form of assets. The new company has a registered capital of RMB110m (roughly US$13.3m). This was obtained through the issuance in May 2001 by Xinao Gas Holdings of 180m shares. The project will provide piped gas to Bengbu City in Anhui province under a 30-year contract. It is part of the larger 4,200 km West to East Pipelines project being promoted by the government. As of December 2002, 25 km of pipelines had been constructed. None None |
