The development objective of Land Tenure Management Program for Benin is to increase the overall efficiency of land administration services and accelerate land rights registration in selected areas. Terra Benin is structured around two Results Areas. Result Area 1 (RA1) focuses on increasing the overall efficiency of land administration services by supporting essential legal, regulatory, and technological reforms to enable nationwide land rights registration. Result Area 2 (RA2) activities are: (i) preparing base maps; (ii) recruiting service providers to carry out registrations; (iii) engage civil society organizations to raise awareness about land rights among vulnerable groups; and (iv) supporting land administration units and municipalities in the issuance of CECs. The PNF reflects the government's commitment to implementing its national land tenure policy aiming at providing secure land rights for all segments of the Beninese population and at promoting investments. This Program is well positioned to drive the government’s transformational agenda by delivering key intermediate and long-term outcomes.
