Description | The project envisages the construction and operation of a 100 MW co-generation gas-fired power plant in Berkprai sub-district, Banpong district, Ratchaburi. Berkprai Cogeneration Company Limited is the project company implementing the project. The majority sponsor of the SPV (65%) is Rajburi Sugar and minority owner (35%) is Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Company. This is a new, greenfield project initiated on a license scheme. The project has secured a 25-year PPA with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). Project company secured funding in the amount of $117.5 million solely from Bangkok Bank. No equity funding has been reported.
