Beverly Street Green Infrastructure Wetland Restoration Project

The Beverly Street Green Infrastructure Wetland Restoration Project would add 5 new storm water detention and treatment wetlands to a network of interconnected wetland basins. Adding 5 wetlands to the existing system increases flood resilience by increasing the capacity of the site for storm water detention and moderating the flow of storm water before it enters Somenos Creek. Adding 4,800 square metres of storm water treatment area increases the capacity of the site for groundwater infiltration and improves the quality of urban runoff before it enters the sensitive ecosystem of Somenos Creek.
