Description | International Power Supply (IPS) is investing about EUR 180 million in three battery-storage manufacturing facilities. The first facility at Chelopechene is scheduled to begin production on September 17, 2025. A second facility at the same location will start operations in Q1 2026, increasing capacity from 3 GWh to 4 GWh per year. The third facility is a robotic battery manufacturing plant with design work to be completed by the end of 2025 and construction expected to take at least eighteen months. The project has been awarded strategic status under the European Commission's Net Zero Industry Act and aims to support the electricity grid and renewable energy integration. |
