Description | Adani Power Ltd. has signed a 25-year Power Supply Agreement with Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd. to supply 2,400 MW of power from a greenfield ultra supercritical thermal power plant to be set up at Pirpainti in Bhagalpur district, Bihar. The project involves building three 800 MW units using ultra supercritical technology, which is more efficient and environmentally friendly. The project will be developed under the Design, Build, Finance, Own, and Operate (DBFOO) model with an investment of approximately $3 billion. The plant aims to be fully commissioned within 60 months and will generate significant employment during construction and operation phases. |
