Description | The Delhi government is expediting the upgradation and allotment of over 7,400 Economically Weaker Section (EWS) flats at Bhalswa. The existing flats are being expanded by increasing their carpet area by around four to five square metres to improve living conditions and bring them closer to the standards of houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The allotment process will begin in phases after the completion of repair and expansion work. The government has decided to retain and upgrade existing structures instead of rebuilding them to ensure better utilization of public funds. |
