Description | The Bhaniawala-Jolly Grant-Rishikesh four/six laning project on National Highway 7 involves widening the existing two-lane road to four/six lanes over approximately 20 kilometres. The project is being built under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) and aims to improve road geometry, reduce traffic jams and accidents, and accommodate increasing traffic due to tourism and airport connectivity. The project involves felling 4,369 trees at Saat Mod in Dehradun district, with 754 trees to be transplanted and 3,605 to be cut. The project cost is approximately Rs 743 crore. |
