Description

Description

The BHAVYA scheme aims to develop 100 industrial parks in India between fiscal years 2026-27 and 2031-32, with a total financial outlay of approximately $3.57 billion. The first phase involves the development of up to 50 industrial parks through a challenge-based competitive selection process. The scheme focuses on creating investment-ready industrial ecosystems with plug-and-play infrastructure, multimodal logistics connectivity, reliable utilities, worker-support infrastructure, digital governance, and sustainable development features. Both greenfield and eligible brownfield industrial parks will be developed, with minimum land requirements of 100 acres for non-hilly states and 25 acres for hilly and smaller states, North East states, and union territories. Projects will be implemented through special purpose vehicles (SPVs) responsible for planning, development, operation, management, investor facilitation, and maintenance. The National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) is the project management agency for implementation and monitoring.
