Description | The Bhivpuri Pumped Hydro Storage Project is a 1,000 MW pumped storage project in Raigad district, Maharashtra. Tata Power has received a Letter of Award from SECI for the supply of 324 MW of power from this project. The project will provide eight hours of energy storage and will be connected to the 765/400 kV South Kalamb CTU substation, part of the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS). It is developed under the Build, Own, Operate (BOO) model and backed by a 40-year Pumped Storage Purchase Agreement (PSPA). The project is scheduled to be commissioned by 2029. |
