Description | The long-pending 35.61-km four-lane ring road project in Bhopal has been cleared with approval of the revised alignment of the western bypass. The corridor aims to reduce traffic pressure on Bhopal by diverting vehicles coming from Jabalpur directly towards Indore road, bypassing the city and saving nearly one hour of travel time. Land acquisition is underway, and the project will be developed through a hybrid annuity model. The western highway will start near Mandideep and end on Indore Road near village Phanda Kalan, featuring four lanes with paved shoulders for safety. |
