Description	The Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Project is a metro rail system planned for the state capital of Odisha, India. The previous plan was a fully state-funded Rs 5,000 crore project connecting Biju Patnaik International Airport with Trisulia Square. The current government intends to execute it as a joint venture with the Centre's help, with a new Detailed Project Report (DPR) to be prepared and sent to the Centre for approval. The project also plans an extension up to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack with support from the Centre. The contract for part design and construction of elevated viaduct and six elevated stations between Nanadan Vihar and Trisulia for the first phase has been terminated.
