Bhubaneswar Town Centre District (BTCD) Project Redesign

The housing and urban development department is revising the detailed project report (DPR) for the Bhubaneswar Town Centre District (BTCD) project due to the ongoing expansion work of East Coast Railway (ECoR) and evolving urban development needs around Master Canteen area. The redesign aims to synchronize the project's core public infrastructure components with the redevelopment around Bhubaneswar railway station, including bus stand, parking, commercial establishments, and mixed-use real estate under PPP model. The BTCD is part of the Smart City Mission as the city's first Transit Oriented Development (TOD) zone and a centerpiece of the Area-Based Development (ABD) plan to transform the railway station area into a multimodal hub.
