Information Central Railway [CR] - I has come up with Bhusawal-Jalgaon - 3rd Line Railway Project with a ticket size of 333 INR Crores. This project in Railway Track sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Not Applicable Economic/Social Impact of the Project Jalgaon-Bhusawal Section is an over-saturated section of Central Railway. This section deals with the traffic from four directions viz. Mumbai, Surat, Nagpur and Khandwa. At present, the major operational constraint is Jalgaon Junction, which is dealing with traffic from Mumbai and Surat directions. Traffic moving towards Surat coming from Bhusawal from UP side has to cross DN main line at Jalgaon Yard and similarly traffic coming from Surat is required to be dealt with traffic coming from Mumbai, Pune, Solapur and Aurangabad. Considering the present volume of traffic and also the expected growth of traffic in view of proposed doubling of Surat-Jalgaon line, faster movement of traffic is essential in Jalgaon-Bhusawal section. It is also necessary to segregate the traffic in Jalgaon-Bhusawal section, in order to avoid unwarranted detention of traffic in surface Crossing at Jalgaon Yard.
