The project entails the development (four laning) of a 141.26 km long stretch in Madhya Pradesh state under NHDP-IV. Biaora - Dewas Highways Pvt. Ltd is the project company which will implement the project on behalf of its sponsor - Oriental Structural Engineers Ltd. The concession contract was awarded following a competitive tender process and the contract was signed with NHAI in June 2015 for a period of 27 years. Total investment as per concession agreement is Rs. 1,583.79 ($237.5 million). As of May 2016, the project was under planning stage, and work expected to commence by July 2016, company executives commented. Nevertheless, sources stated that work on the project commenced in October 2016 (hence Financial close estimated month). CARE Ratings has reported that as on 31 December 2016, the project is under execution, with the entire equity already invested.
