Bicycle Network - Père-Lamarche, St-Rédempteur and William-Russell

"The Town is planning to connect several parts of the existing urban bikeway network and make a major school zone safer. The proposed segment will connect to Saint-Redempteur avenue, on which a 680-m lane will be marked out, signed and paved. A retaining wall will need to be built along part of this section, and about 15 light standards will need to be moved. Part 3 of the project will involve paving the William Russell footbridge. There is currently a 180-m gravel pathway, but an upper subgrade of MG-20 will be laid down, and a layer of asphalt will be installed along the entire length of the section. This will connect the Bon-Pasteur district to the downtown core and will promote active transportation for hundreds of employees at the Public Works and Government Services Canada building near the trail."
