Description | Pecado Films' slate consists of four feature-length films and one short film. The first project is BIENVENIDOS, a Spanish-Luxembourg co-production meant for cinema and TV. Directed and co-written by Spanish filmmaker Alexis Morante, BIENVENIDOS will be his next fiction film. Alexis Morante's debut fiction film was also produced by Pecado Films and supported by MEDIA. This is a social horror film that reflects on irregular migration and uses the codes of horror to make viewers feel what daily life is like for migrants in hostile destination countries. The second project is LA CERDA, written by Goya Award winner Alicia Luna. The female creative team has made LA CERDA a story with a gender-conscious perspective that focuses on women normally invisible in cinema, women over 45, their friendship and imposed social conventions. LA CERDA is aimed to be a Spanish - Mexican coproduction. The third project is A LA CARA, the feature length-adaption of the Spanish Film Academy Award Winner short film of the same name, directed by emerging filmmaker Javier Marco (Berlinale and Reyjavík Talent) and co-written by Belén Sánchez-Arévalo and himself. This film, which has been conceived to be co-produced with Germany, reflects on the consequences of hate messages in social media in the lives of ordinary women and men. The fourth project is TIBURON, an ambitious thriller inspired by the true story of the first Spanish serial killer told from the perspective of an ahead-of-her-time women in Francoist Spain. The film, directed by three times Goya Award nominee Jorge Dorado, is conceived for a powerful premiere in cinemas in different international countries. The last project is the short film QUERIDA LETIZIA, written and directed by newcomer Rocío Sepúlveda and developed with the help of prestigious filmmaker Isaki Lacuesta, that tells the story of three sixty-something women that try to save their best friend from jail. |
