Big Blue proudly presents its European Slate Development funding application 2024, which consist of five uniquely diverse projects. Each incorporates elements directly tied to our core values and believes – such as great storytelling, high quality, diversity, inclusivity, collaboration on an international scale and sustainability (please also see the creative materials). Big Blue Productions is a Dutch independent production company that focuses entirely on high-end drama series. The projects are produced for the local and international market which are to this date all being transnational co-productions. For us, this allows several important benefits, including • More unique voices for the project, increasing its transnational appeal; • Additional funding opportunities; • A broader scale in terms of viewers we reach; • A shared international talent pool in terms of cast and HOD’s; It is our strong belief that if selected for Slate funding, we can take the next big step as a company – allowing us to grow in terms of number of projects, entering new markets, working with new and exciting partners (both distribution and co-producing), compete on the international market and, above all, guarantee our independency as a production house.
