Description

Description

This project proposes a bridge over Big Indian Creek in Perry. It is part of The Ball Street Extension PRC10-S006-00(134). In conjunction, the projects will extend Ball Street to intersect SR 224 directly across from Limerock Road, creating a more direct route from SR 224 to downtown Perry. A deceleration lane will be added on SR 224 to accommodate right turns from SR 224 onto the Ball Street extension. The BallStreet extension will contain a rural typical section along with an urban typical section. The rural typical section will start at the intersection of SR 224 and extend approximately 0.71 miles. At this point, the rural section will transition to an urban section. The urban section will continue for an additional 0.36 miles until the end of the project at Duncan Avenue. The extension of Ball Street will require the realignment of Tucker Road and Jernigan Street at their respective intersections with Ball Street.
