Review the forthcoming signing and striping plan for the Big Lagoon Area. 11/20/2020 UPDATE: Two new signs for the intersection of Big Lagoon Park Road and Roundhouse Creek Road have been made. Staff will be out next week to mark the installation location for Dig Alert. The signs will likely be installed the week after Thanksgiving, Big Lagoon Park Road Need a parking lane for the public to park Speeding Lack of speed enforcement Lack of parking enforcement Signs (in general) where there is a view of the ocean are a blight Avoid too many signs too close together; creates confusion signage needed to direct people to Big Lagoon County Park for access to coastal resources. Sign Illumination to aid motorists arriving in the dark. Need advanced warning signs ahead of the turn for the park (Big Lagoon County Park – Right Turn 150 feet ahead, etc) Right turn arrow and "PARK" pavement markings are needed at the intersection of Big Lagoon Park Road and Roundhouse Creek Road Need signage to discourage RVs from turning off of Big Lagoon Park Road onto Roundhouse Creek Road After the Big Lagoon Park Road and Roundhouse Creek Road intersection, provide directional signs ("PARK" with an arrow) to keep people from turning off the road onto the private roads of the Big Lagoon Park Company property Trespassing on private property Inappropriate behavior/activities Brush needs to be trimmed back to make existing signs visible Trash / Illegal Dumping Agate Beach directional sign needed (directing to Big Lagoon Park) At the Big Lagoon Park Road and Roundhouse Creek Road intersection, move the stop sign to Roundhouse Creek Road so that Big Lagoon Park Road is the "through road" Enhanced school warning signs and pavement markings; flashing beacons.
