Description | The Bikaner solar power project is a 1,000 MW solar power generation project developed on 5,000 acres. It is implemented by Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVNL) through its wholly owned subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL). The project aims to contribute to the central government's target of 500 GW renewable energy capacity by 2030. It will generate over 2,454 million units of electricity in its first year and approximately 56,838 million units over 25 years. The solar power generated will be supplied to Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, and Uttarakhand at a maximum usage charge of Rs 2.57 per unit, providing affordable green power to consumers. |
