Bill 15: Infrastructure Projects Act

Bill 15 is legislation introduced in British Columbia to hasten the delivery of provincial infrastructure and other key, provincially significant projects by establishing the powers, duties and responsibilities of the new Ministry of Infrastructure and streamlining permitting processes. It divides infrastructure projects into category 1 and category 2, with various streamlining mechanisms such as expedited permitting, environmental assessment, constraint removal, permitting prioritization, local government streamlining, and qualified professional processes. The regulations for implementation are yet to be developed.
