Description | Mytrah Energy Limited entered into an agreement with Rajasthan Government, to develop 75.6MW wind power project at Kaladonger village in the state of Rajasthan. Mytrah established Bindu Vayu Urja Private Limited (BVUPL), a special purpose vehicle, to execute this project. Mytrah Energy had subsequently increased the size of the project at Kaladonger by 21 MW, from 75.6MW to 96.6MW. The wind farm would involve the building of 46 wind turbines of Suzlon S95_90 model of 2.1MW capacity each.The electricity generated from the project would be evacuated by NEWNE grid of India. The EPC for the power plant had been awarded to Suzlon Energy Limited. Suzlon would develop, construct, commission, operate and maintain the project at an all-inclusive price. The Kaladonger Wind farm was expected to sell the power to Rajasthan State Electricity Distribution Company (RVVNL), through a 25-year PPA signed on 1st July 2012.The APPC (Average Power Purchase Cost) base tariff as per RERC prevailing tariff order for Jaisalmer district was US$ 0.083/Unit (INR 4.46 per unit @ 53.44INR/USD) for the entire 25 years. The transmission charges would be paid by BVUPL to the state transmission utility. The total capacity of 96.6MW was eligible for CDM benefits and the company had initiated the process with UNFCC. Details of financial closure or project cost were not available at the time of collection of this information. As per company announcement to the market, the project was fully commissioned in the April 2012 to July 2012 quarter. Till further validated information, we are considering July 2012 as the financial closure date for the purpose of this database. |
