Binjiang Plant and Chengxi Plant Upgrading Project

The project entails the upgrading of Binjiang and Chengxi wastewater plants in Jiangsu province of China. The sponsor of the project - China Everbrgiht, signed a concession based on a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model with an investment of approximately RMB22 million ($3.36 million). The concession period will expire concurrently with Jiangyin Waste Water Treatment Project. The upgrade will optimise relevant processes of the Binjiang and Chengxi (Phase I and II) Wastewater Treatment Plants, which have a total designed daily waste water treatment capacity of 180,000 m3. Upon completion, the standard that the plants' discharged water complies with will be upgraded from the national Grade 1A standard to the Chart 2 standard of the Taihu Discharge Standard.
