Description | BioCirc, a Denmark-based biogas producer, will capture and store 650,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide over seven years using carbon capture and storage at five biogas plants. The carbon dioxide will be transported in liquid form and stored 1,500-1,800 meters below the seabed in the Danish part of the North Sea. Microsoft has entered an agreement to purchase carbon removal credits from this project, delivering 100,000 credits annually starting in the second half of 2026 until 2032. |
