Description | The project involves the development of facilities to utilize biogas generated at the Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Plant (HBBMP) located in Austin, USA. The project is being procured under the design-build-finance-own-operate-maintain (DBFOOM) model. HBBMP produces more than 600 standard cubic feet per minute (scfm) of biogas from anaerobic digestion on an average daily basis. Currently, the produced biogas is used to power an on-site combined heat and power (CHP) engine and fuel digester boilers while the rest is flared. The project seeks to utilize the flared biogas to either power the second CHP or send it to the RNG system. |
