Description

Description

Industrial Biotechnology is one of the Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) identified by Europe. Harnessing the power of microbes for biomanufacturing is one of the most promising approaches to providing a sustainable alternative to a fossil fuel- and animal farming-based economy. However, fermentation scale-up remains a massive challenge to the commercialization of bioprocesses, ultimately hindering the sector from reaching its potential. Enduro has developed a game-changing synthetic biology plugin – Enduro Sense – to bridge the scale-up gap and enable cheaper and scalable continuous microbial biomanufacturing. After successful developments, we are ready to perform large scale demonstrations with commercial strains from industrial partners, achieving a key milestone that will unlock further investments to finance the commercial deployment of the technology. This EIC grant is crucial to position our company in a market that is rapidly evolving.
