The project entails the development of a 46 MW biomass plant in Côte d'Ivoire.The future plant will have two units of 23 MW each. $ 232.48 million is the total amount of money being invested in the project. Sponsors are Meridiam and Biokala, operating through their joint venture Biovea Energie. The equity amount is $ 37.58 million. The total debt is $ 194.9 million, provided by Proparco ($159.47 million), the subsidiary of the French Development Agency (AFD) group and the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund (EAIF), a company of the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), lending nearly $ 35.43 million.
