Description | Birdy is a collection of ecological furniture to enable children to experience creativity and awareness of sustainability. Lightweight chairs, storage for toys, tables for playing, shelves as construction toys and a coat stand. Birdy is a colorful world with an ecological contribution for a healthy future where birds can fly. The value of recycling will be visualized by an online medium. It explains about Birdy and awakens interest among parents and children to donate old toys to a recycling program. Giving away wasted toys include emotional aspects and Birdy helps to make the decision. Nowadays most of the toys end up at landfills. Birdy instead will stimulate recycling and give waste toys a second life. The production of Birdy furniture will make use of recycled plastic from the Birdy recycling program. The consumer will be involved in participating recycling. For children it is a learning experience and awareness of recycling. The donated toys will be collected and send to a specially created plant for toys recycling. Materials will be selected and shredded to source material for the production of furniture. |
