Information Water Resources Department, Govt. of A.P has come up with BJRUSS Phase I Construction Project with a ticket size of 2022.2 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project This project is contemplated to serve 8.00 Lakh AC of ayacut in the upland areas of the Uttarandhra districts i.e. Anakapalle, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam and Srikakulam by drawing 63.20 TMC of flood waters of River Godavari from Polavaram Irrigation Project Left Main Canal @ km 162.409. Administrative sanction was accorded for Phase-I works for Rs.2022.20 Cr with SSR 2016-17 vide GO Ms No:53 dt : 05.09.2017. Subsequently the estimate has been re-casted and cost of overall project was arrived at Rs.17411.40 Cr i.e., Phase-I :Rs.2022.20 Cr with SSR 2016-17 & Phase-II 15389.20 with SSR 2020-21. Phase-I comprises of 2 packages & Phase-II 6 packages, for which Cabinet approval accorded on 03.09.2020. Revised Administrative Approval was accorded for Rs.17050.20 Cr vide GO. Ms. No.40 dt.16.06.2022. Main components of the Proposal: a. Pedapudi Reservoir b. Gravity Canal. c. Jammadhulapalem Theeda pump houses d.Leading channel e. Canal distributaries 1R 2R as piped network ,3R,1L,HLC Open canal. Phase-I works are awarded to contracting agencies under two packages for Rs.907.52 Cr.
