Description | The Black Hollow Sun solar project east of Fort Collins is expanding with phase 2, which completed panel installation in March 2026 and is expected to come online in the second half of 2026. Upon completion, it will be the largest solar project in Northern Colorado with an output of 257 megawatts, providing 608 gigawatt-hours of solar power annually. ContourGlobal is developing the site, marking its first large-scale solar construction in the U.S. Phase 1 built 150 megawatts, which went online in September 2025, and phase 2 will add 107 megawatts. |
