Description | US renewables firm rPlus Energies has secured USD 650 million in debt and tax equity financing commitments to support its large-scale Blacks Creek Energy Center project in Idaho, which will power a local data centre built by Meta Platforms Inc. The financing package includes a debt facility led by Santander Corporate & Investment Banking and KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc to support project construction. Upon commercial operation, the project is expected to transition to a long-term loan facility. Located in Ada County, Blacks Creek Energy Center is planned with a capacity of 400 MWac/520 MWdc. It will support Meta’s public commitments related to the energy use of its data centre in Kuna, while also serving additional Idaho Power load needs. Salt Lake City, Utah-based rPlus acquired the project from Qcells in November 2025. |
