The project is larger than an existing 20 megawatt, two-hour BESS facility in Blasdell, New York, which serves as a model. The Blendon Township Planning Commission is reviewing the special land use application for the project, which covers 12 acres and includes numerous exemptions. If local approval is denied, the project may seek approval from the Michigan Public Service Commission. |
