Description | The Blind Creek Solar Farm and Battery project combines 300MW of solar generation capacity with a 243MW, 486 megawatt-hour battery system. It stores power generated during daylight hours for use during peak demand periods, employing a direct current-coupled hybrid solar and battery design to increase efficiency and support the grid. The project is under construction near Bungendore, New South Wales, and aims to power up to 120,000 homes and businesses, reducing carbon emissions by up to 600,000 tonnes annually. |
