The project will help Banque Mauritanienne de l'Investissement (BMI) strengthen its capacity of execution in the VSME market and improve its performance, this expertise will help to increase the number and volume of financing served to this segment. IFC will focus with the project team on strategic areas such as supporting the implementation of the strategy and operational business model, supporting the improvement of the customer experience and the implementation of an adequate offer, capacity building of staff and VSMEs through the implementation of appropriate training programs, support for the adjustment of the Bank credit policy to include VSMEs. These levers will improve access to finance for VSMEs and contribute to the increase of private investments of the sector.
