Description	The Bobwhite battery energy storage system (BESS) project is a 225MW/900MWh energy storage facility in Hawkins County, East Tennessee. It is developed by Bobwhite Energy Storage, an affiliate of independent power producer Tenaska, under a long-term energy storage agreement with Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). The project aims to support grid reliability, manage peak demand, and integrate more resources to keep power affordable. Construction is expected to start in 2027 and the project to come online in late 2029, with an estimated investment of US$300 million and creation of up to 75 jobs during peak construction.
