Boeing South Carolina $1 Billion Expansion

Boeing is expanding its South Carolina campus with a $1 billion project that will add over one million square feet to its North Charleston footprint. The expansion supports plans to increase 787 Dreamliner production to 10 airplanes per month by 2026 and will create more than 1,000 new jobs. The project includes a new final assembly building, parts preparation and vertical fin paint facilities, expanded flight line stalls, and additions to the Interiors Responsibility Center. Construction is led by a joint venture, expected to employ 2,500 workers and total over 6.2 million construction hours.
