The project involves the construction of Bogota´s first metro line in Colombia.The metro line spans a total length of 23.96 km, running from the Portal of the Americas to Caracas Avenue, following the routes of Villavicencio Avenue, Primero de Mayo Avenue, and Calle 1. Subsequently, the metro proceeds northward along Caracas Avenue until it reaches 72nd Street. This metro line encompasses a total of 16 stations and features 10 interchanges with TransMilenio, averaging about 1.4 km apart.The project's scope entails various aspects, including the construction of an elevated metro viaduct, the development of stations, reconfiguration of road corridors along the route, relocation of minor public service networks, adjustments and maintenance of traffic diversions during construction, management of social and environmental aspects, procurement of trains and other essential equipment, as well as the operation and maintenance of the entire system.
