Description | The severe storm events of January 2023 caused a slip out which undermined the edge of the roadway pavement at milepost 1.34 on Bolinas Road, approximately 850 ft east of the intersection with Sky Oaks Road. As this posed an immediate public safety hazard, the eastbound lane was closed to all traffic and the slide area was secured. Since then, traffic control measures have been in place to allow for alternating two-way traffic through the westbound lane. The slide repair project will entail building a 230-foot-long retaining wall, adding an updated guardrail and slightly widening the road and shoulder at that location. It is anticipated that the project will begin by early-August and be completed early November. |
