It has been used as a lighthouse project to experiment with flexible connection agreements (FCA) terms and grid restrictions over a full year of operation. The project faces challenges due to regulatory uncertainty around grid fees, connection agreements, capacity market opportunities, and permitting laws, which have cooled investor interest and made financing difficult. Clarity on these regulatory issues is expected by 2027 or later. |
