"The ""Bologna Process for Learning and Teaching (BP4LnT)"" project aims to explore the implementation of student-centered learning (SCL) and lifelong learning (LLL) across the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). Anchored in the commitments of the Rome (2020) and Tirana (2024) Communiqués, the project examines current policies and practices and aims to promote an informed dialogue between national authorities, higher education institutions and students. While SCL and LLL are pivotal for fostering inclusive, flexible and innovative education systems, their practical implementation remains uneven and conceptually fragmented. The project is structured into six Work Packages (WPs) focusing on exploring the implementation of SCL and LLL, students' perceptions of these two key concepts, policy outreach and dissemination of results. The project takes a multi-faceted approach to increase understanding, promote peer learning and provide actionable recommendations for institutions and national authorities. Key activities will include in-depth research on SCL and LLL practices, stakeholder consultations and peer learning sessions to identify challenges and share best practices. The project will develop playbooks with evidence-based recommendations for institutions and organise events to facilitate dialogue in the Bologna Follow-Up Group (BFUG). The innovative aspect of BP4LnT lies in bridging discussions at institutional and policy level, using partners’ existing structures, such as the EUA’s Learning & Teaching Forum, the EURASHE Annual Conference, and ESU events. The project also aims to amplify the voices of students and higher education institutions in shaping future learning and teaching policy. By fostering collaboration, BP4LnT will strengthen the EHEA’s ability to achieve its strategic objectives, including improving the quality, equity and flexibility of higher education."
