Description | The Bong Bridge rehabilitation project involves painting spot locations of the existing steel arch structure, making concrete surface repairs on the piers, replacing rubber strip seals, updating street lighting on both Minnesota and Wisconsin sides, applying a concrete sealer to the entire deck including ramps, and placing new pavement markings. During construction, US 2 will remain open to at least one lane of through traffic in each direction. The project includes temporary closures of Minnesota side ramps and the sidewalk across the bridge for about two to three weeks. Construction is expected to be completed by early December. |
