Polish Robert Schuman Foundation is a civil society organisation active at EU level with the mission to galvanise Europeans into active citizenship as well as promote European integration, and foster values that underpin it. Main objective of the project is to increase citizens engagement in order to strengthen democratic, civic resilience of the European Union. The activities undertaken under this project will gather approx. 52.000 direct participants from 23-24 EU Member States. Main target groups of the activities will be people who are not particularly involved in European affairs on a daily basis and who do not have extensive knowledge in this field, as well as youth, decision-makers and opinion leaders. The primary focus of the Foundation will be on the following: - Boosting active European citizenship, citizens’ engagement and democratic participation in shaping the future of the EU. - Countering, fighting disinformation and increasing citizens’ media literacy; increasing citizens’ participation in countering disinformation. - Promoting EU citizenship rights and spreading European values. Project will be implemented in cooperation with partners and individuals gathered in Foundation’s networks, including civil society organisations, European Clubs, Schuman Volunteers. Activities will lead to strengthening the internal structure of the Foundation and enhancing its position as centre of advocacy for European integration and active European citizenship. Participation in the programme will increase the capacities of the Foundation to contribute actively to the development and implementation of EU policies.
