It is an operational hydroelectric plant developed, built, and operated by Serengeti Energy, with a lifespan of over 40 years and a generation capacity of about 30 GWh per year. Growthpoint Properties acquired a 30% stake in the plant and secured exclusive access to about 30 GWh per year of renewable electricity through a power purchase agreement with Etana Energy. The plant supplies renewable energy to Growthpoint's commercial properties as part of their e-co2 renewable energy initiative. |
