It is a new R390-million development with an operational lifespan of over 40 years, generating about 30 GWh/y of renewable electricity. Growthpoint Properties acquired a 30% stake in the plant and secured exclusive access to its electricity through a power purchase agreement with Etana Energy. The plant is part of Growthpoint's renewable energy supply mix and supports their e-co2 wheeled renewable energy initiative. |
