This project will widen the roadway, support transit services, create protected bike lanes, and install sidewalks to create a safer and more reliable means of travel for the community., Bothell Way NE runs through downtown Bothell and connects State Route 522 and Interstate 405 in Canyon Park, crossing both Snohomish and King Counties., The expected schedule for this project is: The design phase started in early 2022, In early 2023 their will be a online open house, and in 2026 construction is expected to start., The City's Bothell Way Widening project will increase capacity for people driving, walking, biking, and using transit between SR 522 and Canyon Park. The projects improvements are set to include completing gaps in bike lanes, completing missing sidewalks, improving access to bus stops and upgrading bus signals and increasing capacity of general-purpose lanes from two to three lanes to five lanes., The total projected project cost is about $63 million. The project is being funded by the Federal Highway Administration Surface Transportation Program ($21.6M), United States Department of Transportation's Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) Grant Program ($19M), the Washington State Move Ahead Package ($7M), and local funds.,
