Description | The Bouri Field gas utilisation project is one of Libya's largest energy investments, valued at $1.56 billion. It involves processing 125 million cubic feet per day of natural gas, upgrading offshore platforms and facilities, installing subsea pipelines and gas recovery infrastructure, and aims to eliminate gas flaring at the Bouri field. The project includes installation of a 5,000-tonne gas recovery module on the DP4 offshore platform and around 28 kilometres of subsea pipelines connecting platforms to the Mellitah Industrial Complex. Production is targeted to start in September 2026. |
